The first person---Bao Shouzhong
Bao Shouzhong (1889-1944), and his pen name is Bao Qing. He is from Ledu city,Qinghai province and was born in a wealthier families. He was intelligent and industrious when he was a child. He was the first-degree Scholar of imperial examinations in the late Qing dynasty. After that he taught in Baota school. When he was at middle age, he was a famous calligrapher and had high prestige.
His calligraphy doesn’t follow the old way but the nature. His handwriting is dignified and easy, well-developed elegant, dignified and solemn, elegant. At the beginning of viewing his calligraphy, you will get a different feeling about it. Especially when you research the copying of volume, the friendly feeling arises spontaneously.

The second generation --- Bao Changlu
Bao Changlu, his secondary personal name is He Ting, and was born in Ledu city, Qinghai province on December 28, 1920. In 1939 he was graduated from the Ledu school (now the music one), and was admitted by the literature and history department of the Central University in 1941. During the period of school he was the famous painter Guo Shiqing’s classmate, and under the influence of Master Xu Beihong, he developed an interest in art. After graduation, he joined the three people's principles youth league in Qinghai province, and later he was the finance minister of munitions in the district headquarters of the national group. After the liberation, he worked in agriculture and forestry office in Qinghai province. In 1958, he was divided into the Right and went to the countryside. Then he worked in the education of primary and secondary schools, and retired at 70 years old.
The time wears on and it’s very difficult. However, when you are diligent to practice calligraphy and painting, you will be relaxed. Life is ups and downs. The calligraphy based on the tradition but it has to develop itself. His life is dignified, simplicity, elegant. There is no doubt that he deserves to be a generation of Chinese calligraphy master.

The third generation --- Bao Guoan
Bao's calligraphy third generation is Mr. Bao and his secondary personal name is Rufo, from the great eminence calligraphy. His grandfather Bao Shouzhong was a famous calligrapher and the first-degree Scholar of imperial examinations in the late Qing dynasty. His father Bao Changlu graduated from national central university. In college time, Chinese painting master Xu Beihong had guided and taught him. After graduation, he was the finance minister of munitions. After liberation he devoted to the education career, and became a contemporary famous calligraphy classics person.
Bao Guoan’s family was the landlord composition; his mother was called into “the four kinds of elements”; his father was called “the Right”and went to the countryside. When he was 6 years old, he was learning calligraphy under the guidance of his father.After high school, Mr.Bao Guoan had studied in Zhengzhou Institute of Geological Engineering, and in 1985 he went to Wuhan Technology University for further study. What’s more, he worked in the Qinghai Provincial Geological Prospecting Bureau of Office of Land and Resources. He was graduated from China Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence College in 1991. In 1992 he started the Xining cottage craft painting and calligraphy lettering club.
His calligraphy is great and uninhibited, which forms a unique Chinese contemporary Kunlun Sect. As Bao’s the third generation, his work has a very high artistic value and collection value.
Now Mr. Bao is the NPC member of the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth session in Qinghai province, and the tenth and the eleventh CPPCC member, and the 12th and 13th session of the standing committee of CPPCC. He was the former vice chairman of the China national calligraphers association, and the member of Chinese calligrapher's association. He was the member of Calligraphy Research Association and Chinese calligrapher's Association, the executive director of China Youth Calligrapher's Association, the vice-chairman of China artists association and Xining Calligrapher's Association, the dean of The NLD Central Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, the Distinguished Dean of Beijing Great Chinese Academy, and so on. What’s more, he was the ambassador of the China Welfare in 2009 and 2010.
